🚗 Where Engineering Meets Elegance: Mech Minis at The Celebration of the Motor Car 2025
14 December 2025 — JH Abrams Reserve, Crawley.
Under clear Perth skies (until later in the day) and surrounded by some of the world’s most iconic vehicles, Mechanical Miniatures proudly took part in The Celebration of the Motor Car — a true homage to automotive history, craftsmanship, and passion.
This wasn’t just a car show. It was THE celebration of the motor car — and Mech Minis was honoured to be there.
🛠️ Displaying Mechanical Art in Miniature
Mechanical Miniatures was showcased in association with Wheels for Hope, and proudly in support of the Western Australian Brick Society (WABS) — bringing LEGO® engineering into a space traditionally reserved for full-scale automotive excellence.
Our mechanical engine displays stood as a bridge between generations:full-size legends on the grass, and precision-built mechanical systems in miniature on the table.
It was incredible to see enthusiasts lean in, watch pistons cycle, crankshafts rotate, and instantly understand the connection between the real machines around them and the LEGO® systems in front of them.
🏁 A Field of Legends — Past, Present, and Future
The Celebration of the Motor Car delivered an extraordinary lineup, spanning nearly a century of automotive design and innovation.
Highlights from the day included:
🔥 Ferrari F40 — an undeniable crowd favourite, raw and iconic🚀 Lamborghini Revuelto — perhaps the newest car on display, representing the cutting edge of modern performance🕰️ Cadillacs from 1934 — rolling reminders of automotive elegance and heritage🏎️ A stunning mix of classic, vintage, rare, and special vehicles from every era
From carburettors to hybrids, V12s to early flatheads — the event perfectly showcased how far engineering has come, while reminding us why mechanical beauty never goes
out of style.
🤝 Community, Cause, and Craftsmanship
Partnering with Wheels for Hope added deeper meaning to the day — supporting a cause that uses cars to change lives, not just turn heads. Events like this remind us that automotive culture isn’t only about machines, but about people, purpose, and community.
Supporting WABS alongside fellow builders also reinforced what Mech Minis stands for:sharing knowledge, celebrating engineering, and inspiring curiosity — especially in younger minds seeing how things actually work.
🧠 Why This Event Matters to Mech Minis
Mechanical Miniatures exists to celebrate the mechanical soul of machines. Events like The Celebration of the Motor Car are the perfect environment for that philosophy — where craftsmanship is respected, stories are shared, and engineering is admired at every scale.
Seeing LEGO® engines displayed among icons like the F40 and historic Cadillacs wasn’t about comparison — it was about connection.
Different scales. Same passion.
💬 Final Thoughts
To the organisers, vehicle owners, fellow exhibitors, Wheels for Hope, WABS, and every enthusiast who stopped to chat, ask questions, or simply watch a crankshaft turn — thank you.
From full-size legends to miniature mechanics, The Celebration of the Motor Car 2025 was exactly that: a celebration.
🧱 Build it. Understand it. Display it.
Welcome to Mechanical Miniatures.
