🎄🚗 Cars, Community & Giving Back: Mech Minis at Illicit Cruises’ Christmas Show & Shine

Last night, Mechanical Miniatures was proud to sponsor a prize for the Illicit Cruises Christmas Show & Shine — a community-driven event held in support of Variety WA – the Children’s Charity.

From the moment the event kicked off, it was clear this wasn’t just about cars. It was about families, community, and using automotive passion to give back.

❤️ A Cause That Matters

Supporting Variety WA was at the heart of the evening. Seeing families enjoying the event together, kids pointing out their favourite cars, parents chatting with owners, and everyone soaking up the festive atmosphere was a reminder of how powerful car culture can be when it’s driven by purpose.

Events like this show that Show & Shines aren’t just about polished paint and horsepower they’re about connection, generosity, and creating moments that stick with people long after the engines cool down.

🏁 A Night of Standout Machines

The quality and diversity of vehicles on display made the night something special. From tough street builds to immaculate show cars, there was no shortage of detail, personality, and craftsmanship.

A few cars (and details) really stood out to us — and once you see the photos, you’ll understand exactly why 🧱👀We’ve shared more of those highlights over on our Instagram Stories.

It was also great to see so many younger car fans getting up close, asking questions, and being genuinely excited by the machines around them — the future of car culture on full display.

🤝 Backing the Community

Huge respect to Illicit Cruises for putting together such a well-run, family-friendly event and for choosing to support a charity that makes a real difference in Western Australia.

At Mech Minis, supporting events like this aligns perfectly with what we stand for:

  • Celebrating mechanical creativity

  • Supporting positive car culture

  • Giving back where we can

Whether it’s full-size builds or miniature mechanics, it all comes back to passion and people.

💬 Final Thoughts

We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to prove car culture can be inclusive, generous, and inspiring — especially when it brings families together for a good cause.

Thanks to everyone who attended, supported the charity, and stopped by to say hello. More moments from the night are shared in our Stories — and we’re already looking forward to the next one.

🏆 A Quiet, Meaningful Moment to Finish the Night

As the evening came to a close, there was a small but meaningful surprise — my VP SS happened to receive the Highest Voted AUS DM award.

Bringing the car along was simply about supporting the event, backing a great cause, and being part of a night that celebrated car culture in the right way. The recognition was unexpected and genuinely appreciated, especially knowing it came from the people who attended and voted.

It was a really nice way to round out an already great evening — one built around community, generosity, and a shared love of cars.

Car culture — at every scale.

Build it. Understand it. Display it.🚗
